Levels Of Care

Carrollton Springs treats chemical dependency and mental illness from a biological (physical), psychological (mental), and social (relationship) perspective commonly referred to as a biopsychosocial model of care. These three components of care are often compared to the three legs of a stool. If any one of the legs is not securely in place, the stool will not provide a safe place for a person to sit. In addition to the biopsychosocial model of treatment, we also provide our patients an opportunity to participate in a spiritual model of recovery.

The experienced Carrollton Springs team understands that each person has issues unique to his or her circumstances, and will require a unique treatment program. Our goal is to make sure that each client has an opportunity to evaluate all of his or her treatment options and participate in the development of a personalized treatment plan.

Our core treatment model is the cognitive behavioral therapy model. In addition, we utilize evidence-based treatment protocols from the Hazelden and Dartmouth Medical School Co-Occurring Disorders Program (CDP).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - A comprehensive system for diagnosing and treating addiction and related mental disorders, personality disorders, and situational life problems.

Hazelden and Dartmouth Medical School Co-Occurring Disorders Program (CDP) - Psychiatric treatment within a chemical dependency treatment model.

Professional Counseling

At Carrollton Springs, we partner with you or your loved one to help identify personal reasons for change and choose a path to recovery that will ultimately lead to a life of sobriety and mental wellness. Our professional counseling model incorporates counseling theory and practice principles from a variety of resources in an effort to match our patients with the right counselor and model of counseling.

Family Education & Therapy

We believe that a treatment outcome improves significantly when family members or significant others are actively involved in the treatment and recovery process. In many cases, a patient and his or her family discover that addiction and/or mental illness have genetic and environmental family characteristics that have been passed from one generation to the next, similar to diabetes, cancer, or heart disease.

At Carrollton Springs, families have the opportunity to participate in education and support groups to increase their understanding of addiction and mental illness. This process helps them learn about themselves and their roles and responsibilities in the recovery process. With this important information in hand, the family has a greater opportunity to reunite and start interacting in a more helpful and healthy manner.

Faith Based Treatment Recovery Options

The path to recovery for many patients involves a deeper connection with spiritual faith. Faith-based recovery options can provide inner strength, peace, and a sense of purpose that can help supplement effective treatment.

Carrollton Springs offers Christian-based addiction and mental health recovery services as an important part of an individualized treatment program.
