The Partial Hospitalization Program provides comprehensive, structured therapy five days a week from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the summer and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the school year for children suffering from emotional or behavioral issues who would benefit from more than traditional outpatient services (counseling and/or medication) but less restrictive or used as a step-down or alternative to hospitalization. A multidisciplinary treatment team provides complete medical and psychiatric evaluations and treatment programs that include individual and group therapy, medication management, family counseling, daily school instruction with a master’s level certified teacher during the school year, aftercare planning, and close collaboration with current and referring professionals. Programming emphasizes improved coping skills, greater psychological insight, stress management, and behavior modifications that facilitate problem solving and promote healthy daily functioning in all aspects of the child’s life.

Family Involvement

Families are encouraged to participate in treatment and are required to attend family therapy weekly. In addition, families have the opportunity to participate in education and support groups to increase their understanding of mental illness and how to better support their loved ones through and beyond treatment. This process helps them learn about themselves and their roles and responsibilities in the process. With this important information in hand, the family has a greater opportunity to reunite and start interacting in a more helpful and healthy manner. Together you will work with your therapist and loved one to get things back on track and create a renewed sense of hope for your child. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you in your journey.
